The information that Shenzhen will host China (Shenzhen) International Industrial Exposition Fair has brought out an active response in domestic industry field. Yesterday the reporter got known from the host that during the ten days since the release of the above news, there has been many exhibitors of cities and companies from home and abroad coming to ask the procedures of exhibition appliance. It fully shows their enthusiasm in seeking for good opportunity and exploiting new markets.

        Pearl River Delta region as one of the global manufacturing center, gathers hundred thousands of manufacturing enterprises in different types. In 2008, Pearl River Delta region realized total gross of producing 2.9 trillion, making up 9.9% of the national GDP. It also realized the import and export amount to 64.67 billion, making up 25.6% of our import and export gross. However, since 2008 influenced by economic crisis, the economic growth in Pearl River Delta begins to slow down and the whole manufacturing industry confronts with a great challenge.

The conceive of holding International Industrial Exposition Fair, on one aspect is to support the development of Pearl River Delta region and help manufacturing industry in China cope with crisis, exploit market, propel international communication and cooperation; on the other hand, it makes full use of CSC, the domestic leading industrial materials and products trade center, through building up the advantaged platform to assist enterprises in developing the national and international market.” said Zhang Guofu, the vice-secretary of China Chamber of International Commerce.

Out of this purpose, China Council for the Promotion of International Commerce and Shenzhen People’s Government made a co-decision to hold “2009 China (Shenzhen) International Industrial Fair” (“CIIF” for short) from October 22 to 25 this autumn. There are 11 national industries and committees as the supporting and assisting organizations including China Textile Industrial Committee, China Packaging Federation and so on.  

According to the introduction, CIIF will take “raw material procurement, retail product trading, technical sharing, mutual benefit” as the major focus, planning to hold spring and autumn fairs every year during the contemporary period of Canton Fair. Combining the characteristics of industrial structures of Pearl River Delta and CSC, and also fully considering the interaction with Canton Fair in autumn, the first session China (Shenzhen) International Industrial Fair delicately design seven specific display zones involving of textile fashion, metals, chemical and plastic materials, crafts and gifts, digital electronics, leather products, import products. It also supposes to display more than 400,000 kinds of materials and commodities, with total display areas of 1.7 million m² and 1,3000 booths, of which there are 1000 fixed booths, and 3000 flexible booths.

According to the sponsor’s introduction, there are ten great characteristics that impart China (Shenzhen) International Industrial Fair and help nurture it into “China’s Best Light Industrial Exhibition”.

CSC is where China International Industrial Fair will be held, which covers a total site area of 1 km² and construction area over 2.6 million m². CSC is easily accessible by sea, road and air. After five years’ development, CSC constructs and improves the five trading centers including textile and clothing; leather materials and products; electronic products; metals, chemicals and plastics; printing paper and packaging materials and a large-scale international exhibition center, covering a wide trading ranges of textile, clothing, leather, electronics, metals, chemicals, plastics, printing, paper, packaging, crafts and gifts, small accessory commodities etc.. It also integrates functions such as exhibition, trading, convention, e-commerce, information exchange, logistics distributing, testing, financial clearing and settlement, talents exchange, producing and living supporting services. CSC now has become one of the largest and world-level integrated logistics base and industrial materials and commodities display  trade center in our country, and even the favorable platform that integrates those procurement resources of the whole Pearl River Delta region, China, and the world.

CSC has invited some related domestic organizations as co-organizers involving of China Packaging Federation, China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, China Plastics Processing Industry Association, Specialized Market Organizations Confederation of China Textile & Apparel, China Fashion Association, Shenzhen Crafts and Gifts Industry Association, and the supporters including Shenzhen Trade & Industry Bureau, Federation of Hong Kong Industries, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association, China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, China Leather Industry Association, Printing and Printing Equipment Industries Association of China, China National Hardware Association.

CIIF committees to helping enterprises realize selling, produce profits and foster special business pattern of combining fair and trade, market and fair, domestic demand expansion and foreign trade promotion.

CIIF has PICO Group and Neway International Trade Fairs Ltd., who are famous exhibition companies in Hong Kong as overseas co-organizations. It also gets great support from Federation of Hong Kong Industrial. In the meantime, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, China Chamber of International Commerce will make full use of its representative office and rich resources of international cooperation to organize foreign commerce chambers and relevant industries and committees to attend CIIF.

At that time those authorities in manufacturing field, specialists and business elites will get together to discuss how to ride out the crisis, share successful experience and learn new technologies.

The first session CIIF is concurrent with Guangzhou fair in autumn. Moreover, free shuttle bus will be available for domestic and foreign business clients from the spot of Guangzhou fair, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, as well as Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center to CSC.

CIIF gets strong supports from local governments, industry committees and professional groups in Pearl River Delta region. 8 major cities (Nanning, Nanchang, Xi’an, Tieling, Zhuji, Shenyang, Chengdu, Congzuo) has expressed that they will organize local advanced enterprises and brand companies to attend this fair, in seek for trade cooperation and invest opportunities.

In order to enrich fair attendances and buyers’ cultural life during the fair period, CSC will hold colorful cultural activities containing Huanan Film Festival, Cultural and Entertainment Dinner, Beer Cultural Square etc. to make CSC become a sleepless city sinking in happy and ecstatic ocean.
